The Amazing Raise—2013

6 AM September 18th through 6 PM September 19th

Mark your calendars & set your alarms to take part in a 36-hour, online, regional giving extravaganza! It's the brainchild of The Community Foundation serving Richmond and Central Virginia, and its intent is to raise awareness of the many local needs being served by nonprofit organizations throughout our area.

You can support RLS during the Amazing Raise by visiting giverichmond.org and searching for Rappahannock Legal Services to make your donation.

Or follow this link straight to RLS' donation on the GiveRichmond site: https://www.giverichmond.org/npo/1115342.

Best time to donate? At 6 AM sharp on September 18th. Help RLS be one of the first 15 organizations to obtain 50 donors. You can turn $50 into $5,000 for RLS.

Visit RLS on Facebook to learn more.

How often do you get to watch a legal drama unfold from the gallery seats inside an actual courtroom?

Inherit the Wind Poster 09102013

Don't miss this unique opportunity to see a production of Inherit the Wind performed in two area circuit courtrooms. The courtroom is the perfect setting to take in Jerome Lawrence & Robert E. Lee's adaptation of the 1925 Scopes Monkey trial. Don't be surprised if you spot a few local practicing attorneys channeling their inner thespian alongside Stage Door's veteran performers.

Reservations can be made, and tickets purchased, by calling Stage Door Productions

at 540-903-3808.

Thanks, Weichert Realtors in Locust Grove!

Madonna Padilla and her hospitable colleagues Jim and Donna organized a community shred event and we took full advantage of it! All three of our branch offices contributed mountains of boxes full of confidential papers that were ready to be destroyed. Our tight budget does not allow us to pay for this service like some private law firms can, so when a community-oriented company like Weichert Realtors organizes a community shred event, we jump at it! We dropped off over 30 boxes to be shredded, and the Weichert crew could not have been sweeter or more gracious. Thanks for helping the cause of equal justice for all!

See our in-kind donations page for non-monetary ways to contribute to RLS.
